| Fuel Cell powered "Buhar" finished 8th in Eco-Marathon 2007 held in France |

Fuel Cell Car "Buhar", build by senior mechanical engineering students, raced in 22thEco-Marathon held in France and finished 32nd among 257 cars from more than 20 European countries. 18 Months long efforts of the team finally paid off in Nogaro Curcuit where they placed 8th in the Fuel Cell Powered Prototypes category in 29 models. They also lead the classification in all Turkish attendees. Buhar traveled 928 km distance with 1 liter petroleum-energy-equivalance of hydrogen gas. The calculations are based on the results after seven laps on the track.
 
Now the team is in preperation of a new protoype for the national race. The race will be organized by Tübitak and will start in next July. This time, speed will be more important so the team will use a different design.
